Mission
The Tuberculosis testing clinic at The Ozanam Inn is run by Tulane University Medical Students on weekday evenings. We test all incoming residents of the shelter for TB, in compliance with state law. Ozanam Inn is a non-profit, direct service agency serving the homeless and needy of greater New Orleans, regardless of race, color, creed, religious preference or national origin. All of our services are provided free-of-charge. The Inn was established in 1955 by the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, a Catholic lay service organization dedicated to helping the poor; the Inn was named in honor of Frederick Ozanam, who founded the Society in 1852.

Notes

We need Tuberculin (Purified Protein Derivative) - Aplisol or Tubersol for the testing program. We administer ~90 tests per month, requiring about twenty 50-test vials per year. Any quantity of of the material would be of great help.

Thank you.
