2007-2008 Re-Registration of Students
ATTENTION PARENTS!!!
DON'T WAIT!!!
In order to have accurate information in our student records after Katrina, on May 7, 2007, the Plaquemines Parish School Board approved a new policy for re-registration of our students who are currently in our school system. If a student meets any of the following criteria, he/she MUST re-register:
* Enrolled during the 2006-2007 school year at Belle Chasse Primary and will be in the fifth grade at Belle Chasse Middle;
* Enrolled during the 2006-2007 school year at Belle Chasse Middle and will be in ninth grade at Belle Chasse High;
* Enrolled during the 2006-2007 school year at South Plaquemines Elementary or Boothville-Venice Elementary and will be entering seventh grade at South Plaquemines High.
Students meeting the above criteria have already received packets containing:
* PPSB Student Registration Form,
* Louisiana Student Residency Questionnaire Form,
* A description of acceptable proofs of residency,
* Attendance Zone Policy in Plaquemines Parish Public Schools for 2007-2008
Packets must be returned to the receiving school by Friday, August 3, to the school your child will be attending for the 2007-2008 school year. You must have completed the two pages of forms (front and back) and have original proofs of residency (see www.ppsb.org/policies for information). Each line must be complete and legible. Packets can also be picked up at the school.
If a student's re-registration packet is not returned, he/she will be excluded from school.
Thank you for all your support and understanding the importance of accurate, up-to-date records in our school district.
