- Are you in the midst of a disaster?
If you find yourself in the midst of a disaster, please call the
Disaster Response Team at 937-308-2259. We want very much to be
of service to God by serving you! DRT PURCHASES THE FOOD THAT IS SERVED TO ENTIRE COMMUNITIES IN
THE DISASTER AREAS AS WELL AS BUILDING MATERIALS, HOUSEHOLD
SUPPLIES, TOOLS, DEBRIS REMOVAL, ETC. FOR THOSE WITHOUT/UNDER INSURED. ***************************************************************** A REMINDER OF WHAT THE DISASTER RESPONSE TEAM OFFERS:
Trained 1st Response Volunteer Coordinators brought in to help your
congregation set up a relief effort working with distribution, clean
up and rebuilding phases.
30' Commerical Mobile Kitchen Unit brought in to serve 3,000-4,000
meals/day to community and volunteers.
1st Response Semi Tool Trailer and several additional stocked
tool trailers brought in loaded with generators, chain saws,
shovels, hammers, wheelbarrows, basically any tool that will
be needed by volunteers.
RV's brought in to help house volunteers.
Shower trailer for volunteer use.
Database of thousands of volunteers who have signed up with
DRT that
are called in to work.
DRT helps to purchase food and building material.
This is all possible through financial donations from churches and
individuals from across the globe and by the wonderful volunteers
who work with DRT. DRT is in need of more volunteers as well as
funding. DRT regrets we cannot guarantee that your donation will
go to the specific disaster you may request especially with
concurrent disasters. However, DRT does guarantee that your tax
deductable donation will be put to very good use helping survivors
of disasters with physical, emotional and spiritual help and
guidance.

HURRICANE SANDY UPDATE - 11/14/12
DRT is currently working with the Monmouth Church of Christ in
Tinton Falls, NJ and the Gateway Church of Christ in Union Beach,
NJ. We are looking to expand the relief efforts into additional
areas where needed.
Volunteer Housing is at the Monmouth Church of Christ:
312 Hance Ave. Tinton Falls, NJ
We are so thankful to all of the volunteers that are taking
the time to come and Show the Love Of Jesus in helping those
affected by Hurricane Sandy get back on their feet and
"See a light at the end of the tunnel"

Please Pray for those affected as well as the volunteers
working to bring hope back into their lives.
This storm has destroyed/damaged a very large area. Many are
without flood insurance.....Many are elderly..... So many are
in need of assistance. Because of the giving hearts of so many
of you, DRT is able to help provide food, household supplies,
building material and basic everyday needs to those affected.
The assistance that is provided cannot continue without your help

11/5/12 Newsletter:
Greetings,
This is just a quick update to let you know that DRT is working
with the Gateway Church of Christ and the Monmouth Church of
Christ in the Union Beach, NJ area.
The DRT Semi Tool Trailer will be leaving tomorrow for New Jersey
with the mobile kitchen, supply trailer and shower trailer to
follow.
We will be distributing supplies, cooking meals, cleaning up
properties and helping to rebuild for those without/under insured.
We have housing available for volunteers beginning Saturday
and we need LOTS of volunteers.. Please register to volunteer
on the DRT website. www.churchesofchristdrt.org
Funding is also needed to help with transporting trailers and
equipment, food being served to the volunteers and community,
supplies, building material, etc.
A more detailed email will be forthcoming but we wanted to get
this out quickly to let you know that we do have housing for
volunteers and YOU are needed.
