- Hearts With Hands™ is a Christian, nondenominational, humanitarian, non-profit 501 (c) 3, charitable organization providing physical, spiritual, medical, economic and other necessary aid to victims of poverty, natural disaster, or famine. The goal of Hearts With Hands, Inc. is to help ANYONE in need with the necessities of life, such as food, water, shelter, clothing and heat; regardlesss of race, religion, or ethnic creed. Hearts With Hands, Inc. is driven by a force consisting mostly of volunteers and derives all current funding and supplies entirely from donations, both private and corporate. The purpose of Hearts With Hands Inc. is to help those in need, relieve suffering, build a better community outreach program, and help those in our community that would not be eligible for assistance at other nonprofit agencies in the area. Hearts With Hands, Inc. was founded in 1992 in response to Hurricane Andrew (Southern Florida) and since then Hearts With Hands, Inc. has responded to almost every major disaster in the world.

The impending threat of Hurricane Irene to the eastern coast of North Carolina and the Eastern US Seaboard has caused Hearts With Hands™ to alert all volunteers to contact Hearts With Hands™ immediately at (855) 435-7494 in preparation for possible mobilization. Due to responses to tornadoes throughout the country, Hearts with Hands™ is critically low on food and relief supplies and is collecting these supplies to send to hurricane victims as well. Bill Bradley, Executive Director of Hearts With Hands stated, “We are requesting that all of our volunteers call the office and let us know of their availability for the next couple of weeks or so. We are also activating all of our teams throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida for possible deployment. We have also extended our hours of operation at the warehouse on Sand Hill Road to accommodate those who may want to drop off supplies after work to 7:00 pm, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. We will make a determination later as to weekend hours.

• Hygiene Items
• Camping Supplies
• Toothbrushes/Toothpaste
• Plastic Plates, Forks, Knives, Spoons
• Diapers/Wipes/Baby Food
• Cleaning Supplies, Trash Bags
• New Clothes, Underwear, and Socks
• First Aid Supplies/OTC Medications
• Tarps and Plastic Sheeting
No Used Clothing, please!
