Catholic Charities Natchez: Long-Term Recovery

Natchez Long-Term Recovery Natchez office offers a
variety of services to hurricane victims, including:

Long Term Recovery Office provides the following services:

Case management and financial assistance: Our case manager
is on duty from 8:30AM - 5 PM, and accepts appointments for
general assistance to evacuees and families in Adams County
and Concordia Parish, Louisiana who are hosting displaced
families in their homes. Financial assistance includes rent,
utilities, furniture, medical prescriptions, and
transportation. NOTE: Financial assistance is very limited
and based on individual needs after all other resources are
exhausted. We are setting up appointments by phone at
601-960-8940. We are not giving out the address to discourage
walk-ins, allowing us to give more personal, individualized
assistance.

Mental health services: These services are offered to those
experiencing severe emotional or mental difficulties due to the
trauma of the storms and/or subsequent displacements.

Survivors Outlet Mall Warehouse is a joint effort of Catholic
Charities, the United Way, the Salvation Army and several
churches in town. It is open 3 - 6 PM Monday through Friday.
Goods available include:

Non-perishable food items
Clothing
Household supplies
Health and hygeine supplies

Long-Term Recovery Office: Resources

Catholic Charities is a member of Mississippi Voluntary
Organizations Active in Disaster (MSVOAD). This coalition
is the counterpart for the state of Mississippi to National
Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster. The coalition's
goal is to foster more effective service to people who have
been, or may be in the future, affected by disaster through
communication, coordination, cooperation, collaboration,
convening mechanisms and outreach. Members of MSVOAD include:
